Former Nigeria international Victor Anichebe is in advanced talks to acquire English League One club Bromley, with the former Super Eagles striker leading an African consortium of investors in negotiations over a possible takeover.
According to talkSPORT, Anichebe and his investment group are negotiating with Bromley owner Robin Stanton-Gleaves, with both parties working towards a potential agreement.
The proposed acquisition would mark Anichebe’s first move into football club ownership since retiring from professional football in 2018.
The South London club, nicknamed the Ravens, have enjoyed a rapid rise through the English football pyramid, securing promotion from the National League to League Two in 2024 before earning another promotion to League One last season.

However, Bromley have faced challenges adjusting to the demands of League One following their latest promotion.
Anichebe, who previously attracted attention over a possible takeover of non-league club Gateshead, has since moved into sports investment and business.
He is the founder and owner of Lumira Group, a long-term investment holding company focused on sports, education, healthcare and infrastructure across the United Kingdom.
The former Everton striker was also recently linked to a £20 million proposal for a leisure development in Liverpool, further highlighting his interests beyond football.
Anichebe retired in the summer of 2018 after a professional career that included spells at Everton, West Bromwich Albion and Sunderland.
He made more than 200 Premier League appearances between 2006 and 2017, scoring 27 goals and providing 12 assists.
Everton was his longest-serving club, where he made 168 appearances and scored 26 goals in all competitions. He also scored nine goals in 63 appearances for West Bromwich Albion and three in 19 matches for Sunderland.
At the international level, Anichebe earned 11 caps for Nigeria, scoring once.
