Jaiz Bank Plc has denied receiving or authorising the disputed N104 million investment funds linked to alleged fraudulent transactions involving its Jos branch in Plateau State.

The bank, in a statement issued by its Corporate Communications Department and obtained by BusinessDay on Wednesday said a comprehensive review of transactions involving a former employee and some complainants showed that the funds were neither received nor registered under any of its official investment products or accounts.

“The disputed funds were never received, booked, or registered under any official Jaiz Bank investment product or account,” the bank said.

“Internal records show no evidence of Bank-authorised investments, but rather indicate private transactions between the complainants and the former employee,” it added.

Jaiz Bank further said the transaction details presented by the complainants did not conform to its established operational, regulatory and authorisation procedures.

The bank noted that the matter was already before the High Court of Justice of Plateau State, urging members of the public and media organisations to avoid drawing premature conclusions from what it described as unverified public narratives.

It reaffirmed its commitment to ethical and Shari’ah-compliant financial services, transparency and cooperation with relevant regulatory and judicial authorities to ensure a fair resolution of the matter.
