Manchester United legend Gary Neville has issued a scathing ultimatum to the Glazer family, demanding that the American owners sell the club immediately as deep-rooted administrative and operational issues continue to paralyze Old Trafford.
As public focus shifts from interim managerial decisions back to executive governance, Neville warned on The Overlap that the storied institution is crumbling further into disarray under its current structure.

The former United captain singled out the ownership’s decision to hand over sporting operations to minority shareholders INEOS, branding the arrangement an abdication of responsibility after years of decline.
“The Glazers have to sell. They have to sell now. The time has come,” Neville asserted. “They’ve subcontracted the football department out to Ineos… [who] are trying to run the football department and have had three years of struggling and failing.”
Contrastingly, Neville highlighted the Glazers’ distant relationship with Manchester United compared to their hands-on approach with their American sports franchises, pointing out their decades-long physical absence from Old Trafford.

The pundit also raised alarm over United’s mounting financial burdens and ambitious infrastructure plans, criticizing the owners’ proposal to borrow £2 billion for a new stadium without a clear repayment strategy.
Summarizing over a decade of mismanagement, Neville concluded that with dividends dried up and on-pitch success absent, the Glazers must finally exit: “There’s basically failure of 13 or 14 years in the football side… Enough is enough. They have to sell the whole club.”
