We went to JD Vance's hometown... and what we witnessed at his childhood home left us stunned. Find out what we saw and heard in this week's DC Insider.

JD Vance started out in the poor, fading Rust Belt town of Middletown, Ohio, before rising to the White House, a heartbeat from the presidency.

Days before a midterm that could break the Republican grip on the Buckeye State, the Daily Mail went back to the hometown that made him.

We stood on the porch of his boyhood home on McKinley Street. We met the psychic who lives next door.

We bought doughnuts from the elderly bakery owner who still remembers Vance’s eyes from when he was a little boy. And we sat down with a former youth pastor who once told the vice president’s mother to watch her language.

On Sunday night, we descended into a strip club 20 minutes north of town and met a dancer who says tips from her regulars, most of them Trump voters, have all but dried up.

In this week's DC Insider, we speak exclusively to the white working-class men who voted for Trump three times. They told us exactly what they think of Vance.

But the biggest surprise was waiting at his childhood home.
