Arewa youths reject calls for Dagazau’s suspension
The Arewa Youth Assembly for Good Leadership (AYAGL) has rejected calls for the suspension of NNPCL Executive Vice President, Mumuni Dagazau.
The assembly described the calls as politically motivated and said public accusations should not be used to distract officials from their responsibilities.
Its President, Alhaji Danbature Abdul-Abdul-Hamid, stated this in a press statement issued on Friday.
The group said it was concerned that what it described as media trials could undermine public confidence and disrupt operations in Nigeria’s energy sector.
It urged those raising allegations against Dagazau to allow appropriate institutions to examine any issues requiring investigation.
AYAGL also directed its state chapters and affiliate groups to stand in solidarity with the NNPCL executive and oppose what it called unverified allegations.
