Rapist husband 'invited two men in a single night to abuse his unconscious wife and even asked one to leave an online review', trial hears

Rapist husband 'invited two men in a single night to abuse his unconscious wife and even asked one to leave an online review', trial hears

A rapist husband who drugged his wife to let strangers abuse her asked one to leave a TripAdvisor-style review, a court heard today.

The man, who can’t be named to protect his wife’s identity, asked Mohammed Sabir to leave feedback online after allegedly letting him rape his wife in February last year.

Sabir was the second man the husband had contacted to have sex with his wife that night – not the only time he invited multiple men to abuse her in the same night, Manchester Minshull Street Crown Court heard.

Sabir is one of nine men on trial accused of sexually abusing the woman. Four other men have already admitted to offences against her.

The husband, who is in his 60s, has admitted raping his wife over a 20-year period. In 2023 he started inviting men he had met online to the couple’s four-bedroom home, the court was told.

The abuse escalated to the extent that by February last year, the husband invited men to attend ‘one after the other’, prosecutor Louise Oakley, KC, said.

On one occasion, in the early hours of February 9 last year, the husband had ‘crushed up a tablet and mixed it with some water and, with a pipette he tried dripping it under her tongue when she was already drunk and out of it’, the prosecutor said.

Philip Wild, 58, visited before Sabir and attempted to rape the woman, it is alleged

He then contacted Philip Wild, 58, on wife-swapping website FabSwingers. He arrived at 2.50am but only stayed for less than half an hour, it is alleged.

Wild, whose online profile was called Peachy Ass 2, is accused of attempted rape and a sexual assault during the visit, which he denies.

Jurors heard details of images taken by the husband of what he did with Wild in the bedroom, while the wife was ‘fast asleep, breathing heavily’.

After Wild left the husband went back on FabSwingers to see if there was anyone else near their home in Stockport, Ms Oakley said.

Mohammed Sabir, now 29, arrived a little over an hour later, at 4.36am, and went up to the bedroom to abuse the wife, the court was told.

Ms Oakley said: 'Before Mohammed Sabir went into that bedroom, he knew that [the wife] was not conscious and would not be able to consent.'

Sabir, who the court heard called himself Kashmiri Spice, went on to rape the woman, it is claimed.

The husband took dozens of pictures including one which, Ms Oakley said, showed the wife 'hanging out of the bed' and 'looking like a rag doll'. But she stirred and the men went downstairs, the court was told.

Ms Oakley said that after the visit, the husband asked Sabir to 'leave a review, like you do on TripAdvisor when you've visited a nice restaurant'.

The review, shown to jurors, was left on FabSwingers for 'other like-minded people' and included Sabir describing how it was 'really easy to set up a meet' and that it was his 'first experience of ******* someone's wife in front of them'.

The court heard it was not the first time that two men had visited the house in one night. On September 24, 2024, Graham Brougham, now 74, came to the house followed separately by Sean Peers, 38, it is alleged.

Brougham has admitted raping and sexually assaulting the wife at an earlier hearing and during his 2am visit, the husband took videos and pictures.

Ms Oakley said: '[The husband] had clearly not been satisfied himself because he begins again looking for someone else to attend.'

The court heard Peers went to the house at 3.15am. Last month he admitted sexually assaulting the wife.

Images of the abuse were shared by the husband online with co-defendant Daniel Rayner, who the husband met through a Telegram group and lived in Kent, allegedly commenting: 'Oh wow, so when can I come over and play if you are pimping her out?'

The husband replied: 'It's a long way from Kent.'

Ms Oakley said his offending was 'cheered on' by Rayner, who at one point discussed ordering date-rape drug GHB from a 'guy in Thailand'.

The court heard the husband also hosted a visit from university technician Keith Fotheringham, of Dundee, who stayed for nearly 90 minutes one night in October 2024.

A total of eight videos and 75 photographs were taken, the court was told.

Fotheringham has pleaded guilty to sexual assault, conspiracy to rape and conspiracy to administer substances at an earlier hearing.

Ms Oakley said his involvement went 'way beyond' attending the home, with him supplying drugs to the husband in exchange for images.

As videos and images were played and shown to the jury, one of the wife's two adult children walked out of the courtroom.

Earlier today, Ms Oakley also described how the husband alone perpetrated a degrading sexual assault lasting over two hours in the early hours of July 28, 2024, while the wife was unconscious, and shared footage online.

The court heard that before he started, the husband conducted an 'eye check', lifting up his wife's eyelids to check she was unconscious.

Jordan Wallace allegedly raped wife 'with his hood up over his head and weaing headphones'

Ms Oakley said that having arranged supplies of sedatives, the husband amassed a 'very large quantity of pipettes' which were 'found in the garden shed' by police.

'Pipettes were also seized from within the bedroom,' Ms Oakley added.

Within them, there were 'traces of medication that had been used so as to drug her', she said.

Ms Oakley also showed the jury images of the husband and his wife relaxing in their garden on a summer’s evening last year – prior to him secretly drugging her.

She said: ‘For 21 years, he’d been living that double life. You can see that photograph he takes of them in the garden on a summer’s evening. They look a normal, happy couple, just completely innocent.

‘He can be like that and the monster you’ve seen on many, many occasions’.

Other images the same evening ‘sum up’ the husband’s ‘depravity’, she added.

The court also heard how defendant Jordan Wallace, 31, visited the couple’s address and raped the wife on May 4, last year.

Richard Townsend, 38, denies assaulting the woman at her home in Stockport

Jonathan Kirk, accused of two rapes, is among nine men on trial for abuse of the wife

He began speaking to the husband on FabSwingers before the conversation moved to the Kik messaging service, the court was told.

Wallace explained he had a ‘kink’ meaning he wanted to wear his hood up and a scarf over his face during sex, Ms Oakley said.

He asked the husband: ‘What if she wakes up?’.

The husband replied: ‘She won’t’.

It is alleged Wallace, who also asked if he could tie the woman up, told the husband: ‘me and you will get perverted with your wife’,

But the court was told he was too drunk to drive and could not afford a taxi.

The husband became impatient with him due to how long he was taking to arrive, in case the drugs wore off and even offered to give him a lift, it is claimed.

Wallace cycled to the address, taking half an hour, Ms Oakley said.

The court heard there was a third occasion when two strangers were invited by the husband to abuse his wife, on June 29 last year.

The first man cannot be named, while a second man, youth football coach Alan Keelan, 42, allegedly committed two attempted rapes and a sexual assault on the sleeping woman, Ms Oakley said.

The court heard images and video showed Keelan wearing ladies’ black knickers as he assaulted the wife.

It is alleged another man, Richard Townsend, 38, visited on July 20 but after he assaulted the woman, 'there was concern she was restless and he left'.

The following month, the court heard a senior paramedic Jonathan Kirk, 43, arranged to visit.

He was 'more cautious' than the others, Ms Oakley said, and initially met the husband at his home, where he 'gave (the husband) consensual oral sex'.

The prosecutor said the husband had shown him photographs of his wife 'passed out, being abused' and Kirk had told him it could be 'very dangerous' to use drugs.

But Kirk is accused of visiting the couple's home on August 17 last year and raping the stupefied woman twice, which he denies.

Ms Oakley said: 'You may think as a paramedic, he cannot have failed to notice she was not conscious. He's trained to spot that.

'The truth is, that's how he wanted her. He was fully aware she was not conscious.'

Robert Stewart, 70, a divorced father of two and grandfather, denies two rapes

David Graves, 60, denies conspiracy to rape, assault and administer a substance

On trial are David Graves, 60, a sales rep; Jonathan Kirk, 43, a senior paramedic; Robert Stewart, 70, a retired DJ; Mohammed Sabir, 29, a recruitment consultant; youth football coach Alan Keelan, 42; building company worker and dog walker Jordan Wallace, 31; taxi driver Philip Wild, 58; metal worker Richard Townsend, 38; and Daniel Rayner, 42, a self-employed mechanic.

All deny a variety of sexual offences.

In September, the woman's husband of 40 years admitted 62 charges including multiple rapes, jurors were told.

Opening the trial on Monday, Ms Oakley said Stewart sent a message to the husband after he visited the house, urging him to 'delete all images' and saying 'remember what happened to the guy in France.'

He wrote: 'Mate, have had a bad feeling about it all day. Delete all images from your phone etc as it's too risky. Remember what happened to the guy in France.

'Delete me from your phone and life. If she caught you out it would be a whole lot of trouble and end your marriage and ruin your life.'

'The reference in the message related to the man in France who had been raping his wife, a lady by the name of Gisèle Pelicot,' Ms Oakley said.

Stewart, Wild, Sabir and Kirk, all of Stockport, Greater Manchester, Graves, of Ilkeston, Derbyshire, and Rayner, of Whitstable, Kent, deny conspiracy to rape between 2015 and 2025.

Graves and Rayner also deny conspiracy to assault by penetration between 2018 and 2025, while Stewart, Graves and Rayner deny conspiracy to administer a substance 'with the intention of stupefying or overpowering' the wife between 2015 and 2025.

Graham Brougham, 74, the oldest of 14 defendants charged over the abuse, pleaded guilty

One of the men involved in the case, Keith Fotheringham, 59, previously admitted his role

Sean Peers, 38, outside court on a previous occasion, has admitted assaulting the wife

Former Taunton Town Football Club CEO Karl Lindsay, 56, has admitted charges

Wild is also charged with sexual assault in August 2023, plus attempted rape and assault by penetration in February 2025. Sabir denies three rapes, in February 2025 and twice in September 2025.

Wallace, of Stockport, denies rape and attempted rape in May 2025, Keelan, from Manchester, denies two attempted rapes and an assault by penetration, all in June 2025.

Townsend, of Heywood, Greater Manchester, denies assault by penetration in July 2025, while Kirk denies two rapes in August 2025. Stewart denies two rapes in September 2025.

Four other men – Karl Lindsay, 56, of Taunton, Somerset, Graham Brougham, 74, of Northwich, Cheshire, Keith Fotheringham, 59, of Dundee, and Sean Peers, 38, of Stockport – have also pleaded guilty to various sexual offences at earlier hearings.

The trial, which is expected to take at least two months, continues.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are to visit Brussels next week as they resume public appearances in the wake of child sexual abuse image allegations facing Meghan's father.

Prince Harry and Meghan will deliver a joint keynote address at the opening of the Lost Screen Memorial in the European Parliament on Tuesday.

It is expected to be the first time the pair will have been seen in public since Thomas Markle Sr was reported to police in the Philippines and the FBI over a haul of suspected child abuse images.

The brief trip abroad will see Harry and Meghan listen to addresses by European Parliament president Roberta Metsola and MEP Antonio Lopez-Isturiz, the first vice-chairman of the Child Rights Intergroup, before delivering their own speech.

The Sussexes will have between 15 and 20 minutes for their rare dual-address, which they will use to speak about the importance of children's digital safety.

Harry and Meghan will also be shown the memorial exhibition, which remembers children who have lost their lives as a result of the harm they suffered on social media.

The Duke will later join a panel discussion called Beyond Promises: Building A Digital Future That Works For Children to discuss how to protect children online.

Prince Harry and Mehgan arrive for a visit to Himmah Hub in Nottingham on October 15

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has said videos of alleged child sexual abuse and exploitation were among files found in four storage boxes that allegedly belonged to Mr Markle Sr, after he was reported by his son Thomas Markle Jr last month.

Major General Wilson Asueta of the PNP said it had yet to be confirmed who owned the devices, which included nine mobile phones, three memory cards, five hard drives and a camera.

The 82-year-old was reported to police in the Philippines and the FBI last month by Mr Markle Jr, who handed over a haul of alleged child abuse images he said he found in his father's belongings in Cebu City.

A second hoard was discovered last Friday in a storage unit Thomas Markle Sr is said to have rented near his former home in Rosarito, Mexico, during a raid by Mexican police.

Reports have since claimed Mr Markle Sr was moved into a care home for dementia patients in Florida, described as a specialist 'memory care' facility.

It has raised concerns the FBI may never be able to interview Meghan's estranged father because of the legal barriers over interrogating suspects with cognitive issues in care homes.

Meghan was left 'deeply distressed' at the allegations and revealed she was sent a letter via the Metropolitan Police and Royalty and Specialist Protection seven years ago which made 'troubling and disturbing allegations' about her father, but that she was given assurances these were being investigated.

Harry and Meghan are set to be seen in public for the first time since her father Thomas Markle was reported to police over a haul of alleged child sexual abuse images

The Metropolitan Police has admitted it never shared the details with other law enforcement agencies, with the police watchdog, the Independent Office for Police Conduct, now investigating the force's conduct.

The Duchess had wanted to 'speak out' immediately after reading the letter but police advised her against this, sources said.

Meghan has been estranged from her father since the run-up to her 2018 wedding when he was caught staging paparazzi photographs and then had a heart attack, meaning the King, then-the Prince of Wales, stepped in to walk Meghan down the aisle.

When former TV lighting director Mr Markle Sr had his leg amputated in the Philippines last year, he made pleas for the duchess to contact him, saying he did not want to die while they were still estranged.

A spokesperson for the duchess confirmed at the time she had 'reached out to her father'.

Last week, it emerged Meghan wrote in this final letter that she knew he was an abuser and that he would never see his grandchildren Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Mr Markle Sr, who returned to the US in May, has admitted to paying for sex in the Philippines but denied ever possessing child abuse imagery.

'The look: no time but need to look cute while ALSO raising children,' the movie star, who was seen using products from her Blake Brown haircare brand, wrote over the clip.

'Moment of truth: bun out after running around the city,' she continued, before almost running out the door with her pants unbuttoned.

Her post comes after she was in a legal battle with Baldoni, and the former costars settled right before their trial was set to begin.

Baldoni was ultimately ordered to pay $400,000 of Lively's legal fees.

Lively previously sued Baldoni and his production company Wayfarer in December 2024.

Right before their trial was set to begin earlier this year, Lively was awarded just over $400,000 of the $8 million she sought in legal fees from their dispute due to his countersuit.

In her lawsuit, Lively asserted that she was subjected to sexual harassment as well as retaliation, alleging he orchestrated a smear campaign to harm her reputation after she brought up complaints about his behavior on set.

In response, Baldoni denied harassment and claimed Lively made complaints to seize creative control of the movie.

In June 2025, the countersuit was thrown out. In May of this year, just two weeks before the scheduled trial date, the former costars reached their settlement.

They also released a joint statement, writing that they 'remain firmly committed to workplaces free of improprieties and unproductive environments.'
