A former Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency and All Progressives Congress candidate for Nasarawa West Senatorial District, Dr Faisal Shuaib, has called for reconciliation and unity among party stakeholders to ensure its victory in the 2027 elections.

Shuaib made the call during a meeting with major APC stakeholders and party members on Saturday in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.

He said it was necessary for party stakeholders across the state’s 13 local government areas to work together to improve the chances of all APC candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.

Shuaib also reiterated his support for the ambition of the APC governorship candidate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, urging his supporters and loyalists to give him maximum support.

According to him, Wadada is tested, trusted and globally influential, and capable of sustaining the development trajectory of the Governor Abdullahi Sule-led administration. He added that the DFS political structure across the 13 local government areas had been directed to support Wadada’s ambition to govern the state.

Shuaib expressed confidence in Wadada’s vision, as articulated in his HEARTS Agenda, describing it as integrity-driven and reflective of an unwavering commitment to promoting Nasarawa State to the global community.

Shuaib said, “What Nasarawa State needs, what this moment demands of all of us, is the politics of ‘Amana’: where what you say in the open is what you do behind closed doors, and what you commit to on the difficult day is precisely what you committed to on the easy one.

“The DFS Organisation has always stood on that ground, and we stand on it now. Support carries its greatest value when it is given freely and sincerely.

“Today, my support for Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada is not sustained merely because I gave my word, but because I remain convinced that he is capable of carrying forward the aspirations of our people. I have chosen to stand with him not out of necessity, but out of conviction.

“That conviction gives meaning to the commitment we make today and confidence to the partnership we begin. Furthermore, because this moment is larger than any single race, let me say clearly: the victory of Nasarawa State is inseparable from the victory of the APC at every level of government.”

The former NPHCDA boss added, “We stand with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our President and our party’s leader. We stand with every APC candidate in Nasarawa State, in every senatorial district, every federal constituency, every state constituency, from the governorship to the last seat in the State House of Assembly.

“A governor without a legislature is a captain without a crew. A president without aligned states is a vision without arms. When the people of Nasarawa vote APC in 2027, from the very top of the ballot to the very bottom, they are not simply choosing candidates. They are choosing alignment, coherence, and a government with the will to deliver. That is what we are working for.”

Shuaib urged his supporters to join the Wadada Movement and work towards ensuring that Nasarawa West produced the next governor of the state.

He commended them for the confidence and loyalty they had reposed in him, saying his public endorsement of Wadada was necessary to secure victory and consolidate the leadership style of Governor Sule.

In his remarks, Wadada pledged to reciprocate the support shown to him across all levels, saying the endorsement had strengthened the party’s unity and resolve to sustain development in the state.

He said everyone would be carried along, irrespective of political platforms, sentiments or affiliations, adding that unity was important to the APC’s success.

Earlier, stakeholders of the DFS Movement who spoke on behalf of the three senatorial zones — Grace Jacob (Northern Zone), Abubakar Daura (Western Zone) and Awotu Ishaya (Southern Zone) — urged the governorship candidate to recognise the DFS structure in his activities, assuring him of the group’s full support.

The event was attended by the APC deputy governorship candidate, Emmanuel Ombugadu; a former Secretary to the State Government, Timothy Anjide; former and serving federal and state legislators; former and serving commissioners; other government functionaries; party stakeholders; elders; supporters and well-wishers.
