The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the Bogoro Constituency in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Bulus Iliya, has asserted that Christians have valid reasons to support a Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket in 2027.

Speaking on the political landscape of Bauchi State and the APC’s preparations ahead of the 2027 general elections, Iliya dismissed the ongoing criticisms trailing the party’s leadership structure.

“Some people are making a fuss, claiming that a Muslim-Muslim ticket has shortchanged people,” Iliya said. “Well, we are even going to do it now.”

The assembly candidate emphasized the importance of party synergy, stating that his potential victory would feel incomplete without the success of other APC candidates in the state.

He specifically pointed to Jafaru Gambo Leko, the candidate for the Bogoro, Dass and Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency, and Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, the party’s gubernatorial candidate.

“If I win my election but Jafaru Gambo Leko and our governorship candidate, Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, do not succeed, I would consider that a disservice to myself,” he added.

Iliya also noted that the political alignment of the former Speaker of the 8th House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, with the APC means his constituents must rally solidly behind the party.

He expressed confidence that the zone remains one hundred percent committed to the APC and is determined to deliver a seamless re-election victory for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The candidate, popularly known as Bulusiyya, called on party members and supporters to ensure that their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) are ready ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He urged them to use their votes to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term to enable his administration to consolidate its ongoing developmental projects.

He also called on supporters to vote for Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar as Governor of Bauchi State, Yakubu Shehu Abdullahi as Senator, and Jafaru Gambo Leko to represent the Bogoro, Dass, and Tafawa-Balewa Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.

Furthermore, Bulus Iliya appealed to the people of the Bogoro Constituency to support his aspiration to represent them in the Bauchi State House of Assembly come 2027.

He emphasized the vital role of political participation, urging eligible voters to prepare well ahead of the elections to ensure their voices count.
