Best Gifts for Mom (2026): Digital Wall Calendars, Better Bags, Personalized Jewelry, and More
Each base has a hole into which you can attach the Mini with a little rubber stopper. I tested the cracker tray with a harvest-themed Mini, and you wouldn’t know the tray didn’t come with the accent already attached. At the end of next month, I plan to swap it out for a Christmas tree Mini, and so on. Best part is that if Mom likes this setup, you’ll be set on gifts for the foreseeable future, provided you can keep finding new Minis you think she’ll like. —Kat Merck
Personalized Jewelry
For years, the go-to gift for a woman in my family, mother or not, was shopping in the jewelry section of a department store. My mom even helped orchestrate this for the rest of the aunties and grandmas, but now, as a mom myself, I find myself interested in jewelry that tells a story about my family and children instead of just any old set. (Except extra earrings for my earring stack, a gift I'm thrilled to get, because there's never enough.)
I love these pieces from Gorjana and BaubleBar that you can customize. Gorjana has a ton of charms you can add to its necklaces or bracelets to reflect Mom’s kids’ initials, birthstones, or anything else; I paired a charm of my son’s first initial ($48) with the Wilshire Adjustable Necklace ($65). If she's more of a ring gal, BaubleBar's Toi et Moi ring ($78) lets you choose two birthstones to display. I chose my and my son's birthstones, but luckily his sibling-to-be will also have a red birthstone, so it'll remain a perfect reflection of my kids and me for years to come.
For the Sports Moms
This item was literally made for sports moms: a padded stadium cushion with a wearable blanket inside. My son plays on three sports teams, so I do a lot of sitting outside on bleachers and turf sidelines—and often at night, when it’s freezing. I’ve tried many things to keep warm, from heated jackets to HotHands, but nothing has worked as well as this water-resistant blanket, which unfurls to 50 x 70 inches and sports a clip at the front so you can wear it like a cape. It can also be used for picnics or as a spot for younger siblings to sit and read during tournaments. It’s also not hard to fold it back up and fit it inside the seat part (which is 1 inch thick without the blanket inside). It comes in six colors, so you can be sure to find one that matches your giftee’s kid’s team or school colors. —Kat Merck
If She’s Going Non-Alc
If a mom in your life is exploring her nonalcoholic drink options, The Zero Proof has some gift sets perfect to give so she can try out several things at once. I'm currently grounded from drinking any cocktails while I'm pregnant, but moms (and people in general) can have all kinds of reasons to want to explore unique, interesting drinks that are sans alcohol. I really liked this set for how many cool drinks it exposed me to, from bottles of nonalcoholic wine to knockoff cocktails. If you're looking to spend a little less, my favorites so far have been the Château del Ish Non-Alcoholic Sparkling Espumante ($20) and Lapo's Non-Alcoholic Melograno Mule ($20 for four).
For the Reader
Look, I love a Kindle, but if you want to get the best e-reader for your buck (or maybe she just wants an e-reader that isn't a Kindle), the answer is actually a Kobo. My favorite is the Kobo Libra Colour. It's cheaper than the Kindle Colorsoft and can also double as a digital notebook if you add on the $70 stylus. I also prefer Kobo's annotating options: You can write right on the pages instead of in weird pop-up margins and boxes only on Kindle. Kobo also has a page-turner remote ($34), which I love to pair with a pillow stand holder so I can lean back and relax without holding up my e-reader while I read. I gave a similar pillow stand to my mom, and now I can spot her last reading spot easily because that pillow is resting there.
