Parents distraught after losing all three of their children in SUV fireball crash

A Florida couple have been left distraught after all three of their children were killed in a horrific car crash.

Marshall Clarke-Milton and Charles Milton Sr's adult children Dalvena Green, Jakara and Charles Jr died after their Chevrolet Traverse slammed into a Road Ranger roadside assistance truck on the Florida Turnpike on Friday.

Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) said the crash happened around 9.30pm near mile marker 252 when a 28-year-old Road Ranger driver was dispatched to help a disabled box truck, WESH 2 reported.

The truck was parked on the outside shoulder of the northbound lane when the speeding SUV allegedly crashed into its right rear side, sending both vehicles off the road.

The three adults along with their significant others and a friend were trapped in the car when it caught fire, police said.

All six of them died.

A witness told the FHP that the driver of the Traverse was allegedly speeding and driving without its headlights on. It is not yet known who was driving the car at the time.

Marshall Clarke-Milton and Charles Milton Sr said that the crash should be investigated further

Marshall said she felt something was not right when she heard about the crash and was not able to contact her children.

She decided to call the officials, who confirmed that it unfortunately was her children.

‘Once I gave them the names, the young lady told me, yes, we have two of them currently. So, my heart sank. Because somehow I knew it was them, but I didn't want it to be them,’ she told Fox 13.

All six of them were going to Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights, Marshall told the outlet.

The mother of the deceased said that the police should investigate the case before blaming the children for speeding and negligence.

‘They're gonna check the vehicle. They're going to check the system in the vehicle that records the rate of speed at the time,’ Marshall said.

‘They are going to the system that tells you whether or not those lights were on before the impact or did they come off after the impact. So all of these things you have to investigate, and you have to check before you say this person was at fault,’ the mother said.

Marshall also penned down an emotional goodbye message for her children on social media.

'The last message in our group chat is me fussing with yall for not letting me know that you made it safely and why weren’t you picking up the phone. I didn’t know then that you all were already gone,' the post read.

'I just chalked it up to it being your first sibling trip as adults without me being the smother mother around. So you were cutting loose. Which I didn’t mind because you know we love a trip and party.'

'Y’all were so excited. And that’s how I’ll forever remember you. Every time I see you in my mind all I see is love in your eyes and those beautiful smiles,' Marshall added.

Jakara is survived by her daughter.

‘I feel like I need to see them walk through the door even though I know it's not possible. [Our granddaughter] is why we are going to get up every day and be better every day. Everything is for her, she said.

‘I'm happy that we were blessed with her, because without her we would have literally had nothing. We would have had nothing left,’ Marshall added.

The father said that he is trying to cope with the fact that all his children are gone.

‘It's rough to lose one, it is rough to lose two, but three, it has been rough. So, hour at a time, even that ain't enough really, we trying, I'm trying,’ he told the outlet.

FHP is investigating the crash and said that it will release a report within 10 days of the crash.
