London Zoo animals were treated to a Halloween surprise as pumpkins containing their favourite foods were placed around their enclosures.
The park's army of Humboldt penguins enjoyed a fishy breakfast on pumpkin platters.
The gorillas explored their own pumpkin patch, picking through the Halloween haul of pumpkins, peppers and lettuce.
Over the years, animals like the Sumatran tigers, okapis, Komodo dragons, and Galapagos tortoises have also had their foraging skills tested with creepy carved pumpkins stuffed with their favourite foods.
London Zoo, nestled in Regent's Park, transforms into a family-friendly Halloween wonderland each October.
Daniel Simmonds, Animal Operations Manager at London Zoo, said: 'Halloween gives our zookeepers a great opportunity to come up with new seasonal ways to encourage our animals' natural instincts and skills – laying down scent trails leading to tasty pumpkins, or hiding their food for foraging inside the carved creations.'
