Chris Harrison Dating Show Has Bachelor and 10 Women
There’s one bachelor, 10 women vying for his love and Chris Harrison.
In Fox Nation’s upcoming dating series “The Vow,” the ex-“Bachelor” host steps into familiar territory, five years after his controversial exit from the ABC franchise.
The trailer puts 30-year-old Jace Cates front and center as he splits his attention between the female contestants. “I think Jace would be an amazing dad. Oh my gosh, like, put a baby in me now!” says one cast member as Cates is seen cradling an infant.
Premiering on Nov. 11 on Fox Nation, the streamer will roll out one episode per week until the Dec. 9 finale.
Per the description, the show will explore “whether shared values, faith, communication, and long-term goals can build a relationship designed to last long after the cameras stop rolling. At a time when much of modern dating culture is driven by fleeting connections and social media attention, the series offers a different approach by placing the focus on meaningful relationships, commitment and building a life together.”
When Fox Nation put out the first teaser for “The Vow,” it did shy away from the connection between Harrison and TV’s most iconic dating show. In the teaser, the host throws a red rose — the symbol of “The Bachelor” — on the ground before threatening to step on it. Plus, “The Vow” will feature an appearance from Sean and Catherine Lowe, whose love story unfolded on Season 17 of “The Bachelor” in 2013. The pair has been married since and is one of the most famous examples of a long-lasting relationship to form on reality television.
Harrison hosted “The Bachelor” and all of its spinoffs from the series’ inception in 2002. He exited the franchise in 2021 after comments he made defending former contestant Rachael Kirkconnell drew sharp backlash and were perceived by some as racially insensitive.
“I’m so excited to be back helping people find love, and Fox Nation has been an incredible partner in bringing this vision to life,” Harrison said in a statement. “We were inspired by the faith-driven renaissance happening across America, and as a result, I believe we’ve created the most authentic dating show on television today. At a time when so many people feel dating has become harder than ever, ‘The Vow’asks a simple but important question: Can genuine, lasting love still be found in the modern world? The stakes couldn’t be higher. I’m incredibly proud and honored to put my name on this show.”
