If Fox NFL analysts Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman ever want to segue into a new music career, singing might be their jam. To promote their new Fox Sports digital series “The Gronk & Jules Show” (produced by Shadow Lion), the hosts have released a music promo — but let’s just say the caliber of singing is pretty much what you’d expect.

Fox Sports and creative studio The San Clemente Experiment came up with the song (“Talkin’ Football”) and produced the video, which was directed by Clay Weiner. And no, the guys didn’t take singing lessons to prep.

“Me and Gronk have been keeping our singing talent a secret for so many years, so getting a real chance to showcase that and doing it about a topic we love so much was really just a lot of fun,” Edelman said in a statement.

The music videodebuts Thursday, Nov. 5, on Fox Sports digital and social platforms, in addition to streaming platforms Tubi and Fox One. The song was recorded a few weeks ago before Gronkowski and Edelman turned their attention to their NFL on-air duties.

“We had a ton of fun on this one,” Bill Battin, senior VP of on-air promotions for Fox Sports, said in a statement. “Gronk and Jules made the song their own, bringing their personalities to a great concept from Clay and the team at The San Clemente Experiment.”

Weiner is a commercial director; he’s most known for the Bud Light “Dude” commercial, Sonic with Kevin Durant, Common Sense’s “Cat Filter” with Will Ferrell, Jon Hamm for Minute Maid and more.

Here’s the logline for the series: “‘The Gronk & Jules Show’ is a twice-weekly digital series featuring Super Bowl champions and Fox NFL analysts Rob Gronkowski and Julian Edelman. On Mondays, Gronkowski and Edelman break down the weekend’s biggest games, reacting to on-field action versus what the box score says. On Thursdays, Edelman sits down with a rotating cast of players, coaches and insiders for deeper conversations.”

Shadow Lion produces “The Gronk & Jules Show,” which can be found on Fox Sports digital platforms, Fox One, Tubi, the NFL on Fox YouTube channel, Spotify and Apple Podcasts.
