Mikano Motors has presented an 11-seater Changan M60 bus to The Grange School, after the institution emerged the overall winner in the under-13 category of the 2026 Pan African School Games.

The presentation, held recently, at the school’s premises, followed the three-day competition organised from October 16 to 18 at James Hope College, Lekki, Lagos.

The school secured the prize after outperforming other participating institutions in the Under-13 category, earning a bus sponsored by Mikano Motors in recognition of its performance.

In its second edition, the Pan African School Games attracted more than 400 student-athletes from 11 schools, competing in football, swimming and athletics across the Under-11, Under-13 and Under-15 categories.

The ceremony featured remarks from Giselle Bejjani, marketing manager, Mikano Motors; Aderoju Ope-Ajayi, co-founder of the Pan African School Games; and Richard McMahon, principal of The Grange School.

Speaking at the event, Bejjani said supporting initiatives that recognise young people’s achievements was important in creating opportunities for their development beyond the classroom.

Ope-Ajayi highlighted the competition’s objective of providing young athletes with opportunities to develop their sporting abilities while gaining educational and personal experiences.

McMahon, in his remarks, acknowledged the recognition and appreciated Mikano Motors for supporting the school.

Mikano Motors’ sponsorship of the competition and donation of the Changan M60 bus highlight the role of private-sector support in promoting school sports and rewarding students’ achievements beyond the classroom.
