Who Is Druski?
Druski, whose real name is Drew Desbordes, is a comedian and digital creator who turned character-driven sketches into one of the internet’s biggest comedy brands. He began posting videos under the handle druski2funny in 2017, and today he commands more than 13 million Instagram followers.
Raised in the Atlanta area, he has since expanded far beyond social media into touring, acting, and television hosting. He has landed brand partnerships with Nike, Beats by Dre, and Mountain Dew, earned a spot on TIME’s 2026 TIME100 Next list, and was named the most influential creator of 2026 by Rolling Stone.
How Did Druski Make ‘SNL’ History?
When Druski hosted the November 7 episode of Saturday Night Live, he became the first digital content creator to host the show in its 52-season history. NBC confirmed the booking, with rock band The Strokes serving as musical guest for their fifth appearance in support of their latest album, Reality Awaits.
Previous hosts built their fame as actors, athletes, musicians, and stand-ups, but Druski is the first whose stardom was born entirely online. He announced the gig himself in his signature over-the-top style, and even Drake cheered him on.
“IM HOSTING SNL🍿GET YA POPCORN READY,” Druski wrote on Instagram.
What Is Druski Known For?
Druski built his following on exaggerated characters and improvised bits, but his breakout concept is Coulda Been Records, a satirical talent show where he plays a chaotic record executive judging hopeful artists. The series grew into live shows, tours, and a full entertainment brand.
His comedy has also crossed into music, including three scene-stealing skits on Justin Bieber’s 2025 album Swag, and in June he hosted the 2026 BET Awards.
What’s Next for Druski?
The SNL milestone arrives as Druski prepares for an even bigger spotlight. His first Netflix comedy series, Collect and Praise, is set to premiere in December 2026.
Between a growing acting career, his Coulda Been empire, and now an SNL hosting credit, the comedian has made clear that internet stardom can lead straight to the biggest stages in entertainment.
