…Delivers Canary Points Headquarters

Stretford Hill Limited, an indigenous Nigerian integrated construction company, has delivered the structural and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) works for Canary Points Headquarters, a five-storey commercial development in Lekki, Lagos, officially commissioned.

The commissioning ceremony was attended by Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Deputy Governor of Lagos State; Kayode Lambo, Chairman of Canary Point Holdings; Idris Ibrahim, Group Managing Director of Canary Point Holdings; and other government officials, business leaders and industry stakeholders.

As the main contractor for the structural and MEP works, Stretford Hill Limited executed the building’s structural works from foundation to roof slab, alongside the installation of its mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems. The wider development also involved specialist contractors responsible for other aspects of the project, including interior finishing, alongside consultants and other project stakeholders.

Speaking on the project, Lakunle Runsewe, the Chief Executive Officer of Stretford Hill Limited, emphasised the importance of engineering precision and collaboration in commercial construction.

“On a project like this, the structural elements and building services must work together to ensure the building functions as an integrated facility. Achieving that requires careful planning, effective coordination and consistent attention to quality. I am proud of what our engineers and site teams have accomplished at Canary Points Headquarters, and grateful to Canary Point Holdings for the confidence placed in Stretford Hill Limited.

“I also extend my appreciation to the project consultants, specialist contractors, interior finishing team and other stakeholders whose expertise and contributions supported the delivery of the development. At Stretford Hill Limited, we remain committed to demonstrating the capabilities of indigenous construction expertise through sound engineering, professional accountability and the consistent delivery of quality work,” he stated.

Established in 2013, Stretford Hill Limited delivers building construction, civil engineering and infrastructure projects across commercial, residential, institutional and industrial sectors. As an ISO 9001:2015-certified company, it applies structured quality management processes to support consistency, accountability and continual improvement across its operations.

The commissioning of Canary Points Headquarters highlights the growing capacity of indigenous construction firms to deliver complex commercial developments and reinforces Stretford Hill Limited’s commitment to engineering excellence, accountability and project delivery standards.
