Joy Behar walks on to The View set arm-in-arm with Sara Haines after a month off air because of injury

The View welcomed back Joy Behar after a month-long hiatus following a shoulder injury, as she was seen walking arm-in-arm with Sara Haines onto the set of the show.

Behar, 84, returned to the show on Tuesday morning after dislocating her shoulder in the studio at the beginning of October.

'I mean, I went down hard, in this building. I dislocated my shoulder,' Behar told the show's audience upon her return.

'I don’t know if that’s ever happened to anybody, but it’s worse than childbirth. I mean, I would have given up names to the CIA, that kind of torture, it was bad.'

Behar walked in with Haines, who guided her to her spot at the Hot Topics table, and was greeted by a roaring crowd cheering her on while Elton John's 'The B***h is Back' played her in.

Haines grinned as the show's co-hosts, Whoopi Goldberg, Alyssa Farah Griffin and Sunny Hostin, all gave Behar a warm welcome back.

Behar expressed her sadness for missing opportunities to discuss hot topics on the show, including President Donald Trump's remarks over Nicki Minaj.

'Even when I went down and went to hospital, the doctor didn't even look at my a** like that, with such love and affection,' she joked, referencing Minaj's recent appearance at the president's midterm campaign rally on Sunday, which saw the rapper gush over Trump.

'President Trump, it is an honor to stand with you every single time, and I will continue to support you forever and ever,' Minaj said, before adding, 'if you run again, I will support you again.'

Ahead of her remarks, Trump commented on the state of Minaj's derrière, saying that she had 'beautiful a**,' before encouraging her to 'stand up' and show it off.

Behar's colleague Goldberg continued on to say: 'All jokes aside, it is, you know, we're together a lot, and so when one of us is not around, you feel it.'

Haines echoed a similar sentiment, referring to the panel like family who go through the 'ups' and 'downs' of life together.

'Things happen, you can't help it,' Behar said. 'I couldn't help that I went down.'

Behar's representative previously told Page Six: 'Joy caught a heel backstage but is on the mend and should be back on the show mid next week.

'Her shoulder wasn't broken and is back in place and she is excited to be back at the table as quickly as possible.'

Upon her injury, Goldberg said: 'Despite sharing a birthday with Vladimir Putin, she does not have the Russian plague. She's still healing after dislocating her shoulder.'

'What we're saying is, get better fast so we can celebrate you back here on The View,' she added after Behar missed celebrating her birthday on-air due to her injury.
