The Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Dr. Chibuikem Onyekachi Emmanuel, has successfully completed the prestigious Policy Strategy and Leadership Course (PSLC) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS), Kuru, Plateau State.

Dr. Onyekachi was among the participants who completed the PSLC 59 programme in September 2026 after several months of intensive academic work, assignments and outdoor activities.

Speaking with newsmen after receiving his certificate, he expressed joy and fulfilment, describing the achievement as one of the best decisions he had made for his leadership and career development.

He admitted that the demanding nature of the programme nearly made him consider quitting, citing the heavy academic workload and rigorous outdoor assignments. However, he said the experience strengthened his discipline, resilience and ability to work under pressure.

Dr. Onyekachi noted that the course broadened his understanding of public policy, strategic planning, leadership and decision-making, equipping him with knowledge he intends to apply to his professional responsibilities and the management of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd.

He commended the management and faculty of NIPSS for providing an intellectually challenging environment that encouraged critical thinking and the exchange of ideas among participants from diverse professional backgrounds.

The architect also encouraged business executives and aspiring leaders to embrace continuous learning, stressing that effective leadership requires sound judgement, strategic thinking and the ability to adapt to changing circumstances.

He said completing the programme had renewed his motivation to pursue professional excellence and apply the lessons learned to organisational growth and improved service delivery.
