A former member of the House of Representatives and President of Globe Legislators International, Sam Onuigbo, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s performance will speak for him in the 2027 elections.

Onuigbo made the remarks while unveiling the Abia State chapter of the Strategic Mobilisation Network for Tinubu Continuity 2027 (SMNTC2027).

“Upon assuming office in 2023, President Tinubu took sure and measured steps to begin reforms that were much needed, particularly in the energy, educational and financial sectors of the economy.

“As this 2027 election approaches, Nigerians will consider the direction of the country, decisions already taken, progress recorded, the challenges that remain and the courageous leadership they believe can take Nigeria forward,” Onuigbo said.

He said President Tinubu’s re-election had become a national priority, stressing that all hands must be on deck to secure it.

He observed that the reform initiatives begun by the President were at a crucial stage of bearing fruit and needed to be consolidated, to avoid pushing Nigeria back into the social and economic instability caused by unpredictable exchange rates.

He explained that SMNTC is a gathering of like minds united by a common belief in a better future for Nigeria and a commitment to the re-election of President Tinubu in the 2027 general election.

“Our mission is to build a strong and effective political mobilisation that will take the message of continuity beyond party meetings and political circles, reaching ordinary Nigerians in their markets, workplaces, schools, communities and places of worship,” he said.

Onuigbo, who represented the Ikwuano/Umuahia North/Umuahia South federal constituency in the House of Representatives, said that as one of the network’s patrons he was pleased with the massive endorsement Tinubu’s re-election bid was receiving from Abia State and its environs.
