The husband of a Lindsay Clancy-obsessed mother who killed her baby is standing by her despite her alleged plans to poison him as well, her attorneys say.
Corie Walsh, 40, is facing murder charges for hanging her two-year-old son Barrett in a botched suicide attempt in her home in Frankfort, Illinois on September 1.
Walsh pleaded not guilty to murder as her attorneys say she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis at the time of the killing.
Prosecutors say Walsh hanged her son from a rafter in her basement before slitting her wrists in a bathtub, and alleged she also planned to kill her husband Michael Walsh, 44, with a 'poisoned drink.'
At Walsh's most recent hearing on Monday, the Will County courthouse was filled with supporters for the mother, with two rows of loved ones showing up for the pre-trial hearing.
Walsh's attorney Andrea Lyon said Michael was unable to attend the hearing for work, but said he is 'fully supporting her' despite prosecutors alleging he was also a target.
A judge set Walsh's next pre-trial hearing for November 23, with Lyon saying they plan to fight the murder charges and argue that Walsh was not guilty by reason of insanity.
'Psychosis is not a choice,' Lyons told a post-hearing press conference, saying Walsh's team have been 'learning everything they can about psychosis.'

Walsh's attorneys say she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis when she hung her son and tried to take her own life, and police say she also allegedly plotted to kill her husband with a 'poison drink'
Prosecutors say before Walsh killed her son, she became obsessed with the trial of Lindsay Clancy, a Massachusetts mother who also claimed to suffer postpartum psychosis when she killed her three children in 2023.
Walsh, a mother of four, was allegedly discussing Clancy's controversial murder trial in a group chat on he day of the killing, hours before hanging her infant son from a basement rafter.
The group chat reportedly peddled baseless conspiracy theories about Clancy's husband, Patrick, but Walsh appeared to challenge the notion.
In a chilling final message to her friends on the day Walsh killed her son, she messaged of Clancy's case: 'It's manslaughter. Please help. I'm really freaking out.'
Walsh's attorney said the mother is still suffering with 'overwhelming' psychosis symptoms, as she remains held without bail ahead of her murder trial.
When the horror was discovered at Walsh's home on September 1, police said two of her other children came home from school to find the situation unfolding, and ran to a neighbor's home for help.
The neighbor found the mother upstairs in a bathtub trying to harm herself with a blunt kitchen knife, according to the pre-trial release denial petition.

Walsh's attorney Andrea Lyon (center) said the death of Walsh's son was a 'tragedy', but said her client pleaded not guilty due to her mental illness. 'Psychosis is not a choice,' she said
Barrett, who was nicknamed 'Bear', was pulled down from the basement rafter by the neighbor, but CPR efforts failed as the infant had no pulse, police said.
An eight-month-old infant was also found in the home unsupervised, and police said Walsh was rambling incoherently and saying she believed she killed her other children as well.
Court documents show Walsh allegedly told authorities that she killed her son Barrett because he was 'the devil' and 'the anti-Christ.'
Police said when Walsh was taken into custody, she had 'fixed, dilated eyes,' a 'weird giggle' and was 'unlike her normal self'.
At a previous hearing, Walsh's attorney told the judge that she was unaware of the gravity of her situation, and have rambling, conflicting accounts to investigators.
She told investigators that she took her children 'one by one and drowned them,' despite no children being drowned and only one of her infants being killed.
She told detectives that she had gone to McDonald's that afternoon for a breakfast sandwich, despite the fast food chain not serving breakfast past 11am, the attorney said, before she then launched into her own rendition of Follow the Yellow Brick Road from the 1939 film and subsequent musical, The Wizard of Oz.

Paramedics said Walsh was 'in and out of consciousness' when she was taken to hospital, and medics said she was 'talking to us, but not coherent.'
She even started yelling out the names of fruits, including oranges, bananas and apples, Walsh's attorney said.
At Walsh's hearing this week, her attorney Lyon said she was suffering from severe psychosis at the time.
'She was psychotic, and this is not a first-degree murder. This is a tragedy. There are no winners here,' Lyon said.
